Hybrid Engine Management – Leicester

What do I do if my engine management light comes on?

The engine management light may come on when you turn on the ignition but should then immediately go back off. It’s connected to your hybrid car’s engine control unit (ECU) and is often the first indicator that there’s a problem in one of the many systems within the car.

If the engine management light doesn’t go off, the only thing you can really do to find out what’s causing this is to come into Continental Motors EV. We have state-of-the-art equipment at our workshop in Leicester, which connects to your car’s ECU and helps us to pinpoint exactly what the problem is, that way we can get it sorted for you quickly, and accurately. Once the fault has been repaired, we reset the ECU so that the engine management light goes off.

Continental Motors EV is proud to be a member garage of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Repair Alliance (HEVRA), a nationwide network of the top, independent EV and hybrid repair and service centres. We are also pleased to be affiliated with the Good Garage Scheme and AutoCare’s network of ‘invitation-only’ garages.
